English courses at The Leftbank are designed for people living, working and studying in Bristol. Whether you have just arrived to England, or have been living here some time, we have a course just right for you! We offer a flexible timetable, friendly atmosphere, and comfortable modern classrooms. Our centrally located language centre is situated on Cheltnam Road, Montpelier, very close to the Polish church [name?]. Our classes are taught by qualified and experienced teachers who understand the varying needs of individual students. We offer a very competitive and flexible price structure, specifically aimed at locally based students.
Our General English course focuses on practical English use, improving student’s grammar, pronunciation, listening and communication skills. The lessons are designed to be engaging and fun, using many real world examples and giving students the opportunity to test out their new English in conversation. As well as building a solid understanding of the English language, students also learn to understand the everyday “real” English spoken by their British friends and colleagues, and how to use expressions to add colour and authenticity to their own English.
Course Structure
Courses are run in 15 hour blocks, i.e. 10 x 1.5 hour classes.
The course can be taken over either five or ten weeks.
The 5 week option is based on 2 classes per week, on Monday and Thursday.
The 10 week option is based on 1 class per week, on either a Monday, Thursday or Saturday.
We run classes in the morning, afternoon and evening.

After successful completion of a 15 hour course, the student will be able to move up to the next ability level and start a new course, allowing for a constant and steady progression.
One to One Tuition
As well as the classes above, we also offer custom tailored one to one tuition. Lessons can be conducted either in our Language Centre or at your own home or office. Lessons can be designed to meet your own specific needs. Please contact us to discuss pricing and scheduling options.
